Women Today 2012

The nationally acclaimed Taste of Home Cooking School returns to Kitsap May 3, 2012 at the Presidents Hall. Also returning to the adjacent Kitsap Sun Pavilion is the two-day Women Today event, an exhibition of services, information, entertainment and locally available goods and businesses tailored to the needs of the female consumer. Of 2011 event attendees, a whopping 97% said they would recommend the event to others. 72% made one or more purchases. 66% of attendees claimed future purchasing decisions would be influenced by their experience at Women Today.

Is there anyone who wonders why a local event should be custom-made for women? Among reason--women make 85% of purchasing decisions, a phenomenon of no surprise to retailers. Food. Fashion. Finance. Fitness. Those and other retail categories are the domain of the female consumer. The combined May 3 Taste of Home Cooking School and May 4-5 Women Today events to be held at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds facilities will connect women with local businesses and services providers interested in fulfilling their needs and wishes. Oh! One more category dominated by women--Fun! See you there.

Inside Bremerton host Charleen Burnette sits down with Kitsap Sun President and Publisher Charles Horton in this 30 minute video which aired on Bremerton's BKAT.  Watch the interview below.

“While I’ve shared my story of homelessness with the world, the stories of our community’s challenges and achievements are expertly chronicled daily in the newspaper I read, the Kitsap Sun. The Kitsap Sun links the voices of Kitsap—enabling a better and vital understanding of each other. The journalism of the Kitsap Sun tells the stories of Kitsap. Mine. Yours. Ours.”
